New

I took a chance on this one because I thought the cover looked cool and I was intrigued by the band name, Mariah.  It turned out to be music I had heard on a great mix of 80's new wave from Japan.  Some of it has a very particular cinematic atmosphere that you hear in Ryuichi Sakamoto's music for Nagisa Oshima's film, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.  It's not a mood I can put into words - maybe melancholia but at a faster tempo.
